In a bid to ensure students ace the 2026 Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE), Omo Ibile Igbomina, under the leadership of Sir. Bisi Fakayode has organised a comprehensive training programme for teachers in Igbomina land, Kwara State. The training focuses on equipping teachers with the skills to effectively guide students on how to attempt questions with precision, meeting the expectations of examiners.
This initiative comes as a timely response to the challenges posed by recent school closure due to insecurity concerns. The Commissioner, Kwara State Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development, Dr. Lawal Olorungbebe has thrown its weight behind the program, emphasising his commitment to improving education quality in the state.
The Chairman of the Education Subcommittee, Professor Mukaila A. Aremu was co fident that all that is required is fully provided. He stated this during g facility inspection today.
“This training will help teachers bridge the gap created by the school closures and ensure our students are well-prepared for the exams.” Aremu reiterated
The training is expected to cover selected subjects, with expert facilitators sharing insights on how to tackle exam questions with confidence and accuracy. By empowering teachers, the programme aims to boost student performance and ultimately contribute to the overall growth of education in Igbomina land.
In an attempt to enhance equitable access to the training, there are five centres across the main local governments of Igbomina land: Omu Aran, Owu Isin, Share, Ajase, Igbaja.
