Prof. Ezekiel Oseni
Ezekiel Oseni (Ph. D) is a professor of accounting and finance. He isa graduate of Department of Accounting and Finance, University of Ilorin (B.Sc. and M. Sc.degrees) and he is a highly accomplished individual with a brilliant professional background spanning multiple disciplines, including risk management, accounting, and finance. He is both a passionate academic andrisk management professional.He is also an alumnus of Premier Business School, London and Galilee International Management Institute, Israel.
Ezekiel is a subject matter expert in risk management, with extensive experience from his time at the Bank of Industry where he was the Chief Risk Officer for over ten (10) years and as the Managing Director/ CEO of the National Economic Reconstruction Fund (NERFUND), where his exceptional performance earned him a commendation letter from the Federal Ministry of Finance on behalf of the Federal Government.He has a profound interest in risk management, both within and outside academic settings, and in corporate leadership. He taught accounting and finance at University of Ilorin and Obafemi Awolowo University for several years and also an adjunct faculty to some other universities and higher institutions of learning including Osun State University, Okuku; Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin; Kano State Polytechnic, Kano and Osun State Polytechnic, Esa-Oke.
He is a professor of accounting and finance at Babcock University Business School. He is also an adjunct faculty to both Department of Banking and Finance, andUnilagBusiness School, University of Lagos where he teaches corporate finance and entrepreneurship management at the postgraduate level till now. He has supervised research worksat post-graduate levels includingPh. D and DBA candidates.He is a member of the governing council of Maranatha University, Nigeria. He has authored several researchpapers published in reputable academic journals across the globe. He is the author of two books titled “Risk Management Strategies for Small and Medium Businesses” and “Your Chief Risk Officer”, both published by University of Lagos Printing Press.
He served among others on the boards of Remita Payment Systems Limited, Lucky Fibre Limited, Lagos Deep Offshore Logistics (LADOL) Limited, Amo Byng Nigeria Limited and New Nigeria Engineering Works Limited.He is currently an Executive Director (Risk Management) at National Credit Graduate Company Limited, Abuja.
Heis the immediate past President and Chairman of the Council of the Chartered Risk Management Institute of Nigeria (CRMI) and the first President and Chairman of Council of theFederation of African Risk Management Associations (FARMA).He is a fellow of several other professional institutes including Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers, Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria and Certified Information System Auditors (CISA). He embodies commitment to promoting sound risk management, recognizing the important roles of risk managers to the strategic goals of all organizations including government and non-governmental agencies.He is a highly sought-after speaker, both locally and internationally, where he delivers insightful presentations on risk management, corporate finance, sustainability, and related areas.. He was born on 16th July, 1965 to the family of MallamOlanrewaju and MrsAjibabiOseni, natives of Aran-Orin, Kwara State. He is the founder of Lexar Business Support Limited, a company that provides professional services in risk management and corporate finance to MSMEs and large corporates. He is married to Dr. (Mrs). Funmi Oseni, a graduate of Department of History, University of Ilorin where we met and solidified our relationship.
